ANDENES

“Andenes”, the new genderless Fall/Winter collection by Bottega Bernard, is born from a sense of awe and mystery surrounding the depths of the ocean, a mirror of our most hidden inner world.

Inspired by the Norwegian village of Andenes — where submerged canyons and the cold currents of the North Sea create a vital habitat for whales, which rise from the abyss to breathe before disappearing once again into the depths — the collection becomes a reflection on the immensity and beauty of the unknown. A dimension that reveals itself only by moving beyond the surface and allowing oneself to be guided downward, toward the deepest and most authentic, unexplored parts of the self.

The color palette, dominated by shades of deep blue, grey and white, together with the choice of materials — denim, structured cottons, lace, wool and tulle — and three-dimensional textile manipulations such as slashing and 3D patchwork, evoke the textures and matter of the North Sea, in its many forms and movements.

Each garment is crafted in Tuscany by local artisans, built with sensitivity and sartorial precision, and designed for everyday life. Essential and versatile pieces that, upon closer inspection, reveal intimate and hidden details — like the sea, which holds its strength beneath the calm of its surface.

“Andenes” is an introspective and sensory journey: an invitation to dive into one’s inner depths, to discover what we do not yet know, and to find beauty in the unknown.
